6 weeks - 3 works of art - 1 screen
What does it mean when machines have dreams? What happens to poetry when it is no longer written by humans alone, but also by artificial intelligence? Can AI agents be creative? THE SCREEN poses these questions on the basis of three artistic positions that deal with current developments in artificial intelligence. With THE SCREEN, a new format is being created in Lichthof 8 of the ZKM - a place that makes international media art tangible and at the same time invites visitors to linger and get together.
For six weeks, THE SCREEN will present works by Refik Anadol, Sasha Stiles and ZKM artists and developers Daniel Heiss, Bernd Lintermann and Marc Schütze on a monumental LED wall. At the center is an 8.5 × 6 meter screen spanning two floors, on which three artistic positions dealing with artificial intelligence from different perspectives will be shown every two weeks.
