In two rooms, the City Museum displays paintings, drawings, letters, and much more related to the theme of music in Baden-Baden. Visitors can discover numerous renowned composers and singers who lived and performed in the “Summer Capital of Europe” during the 19th century and left their mark here, including Clara Schumann, Pauline Viardot, Hector Berlioz, and Franz Liszt.
The exhibition is inspired by the special exhibition “Baden in Music: The World Heritage City as Europe’s Musical Meeting Place” by the Baden-Baden World Heritage Forum, featuring the interactive SoundLab, which is on display at the City Museum through October 11.
