Video in art
The moving image is omnipresent - on our screens, in social media, on the street. What once began on flickering tube screens has developed into one of the most exciting forms of expression in contemporary art: Video art breaks boundaries, plays with perceptions, tells stories - sometimes poetically, sometimes radically.
The two complementary exhibitions at the Aargauer Kunsthaus and the Kunstmuseum Solothurn show what traces video art has left behind in Switzerland and in both museums.
With Judith Albert, Emmanuelle Antille, Silvie Defraoui, Alexander Hahn, Zilla Leutenegger, Yves Netzhammer, Ursula Palla, Pipilotti Rist, Roman Signer, Rémy Zaugg and many other formative positions.
