This exhibition brings together artists from all over the world who are on the move with their personal and collective memories and at the same time make their memories accessible to us all. They can teach us to think and act more openly in the here and now because they fundamentally question even closed (thinking) spaces. What does it mean to carry different memories and even traumas with us - ones that are personally and socially significant and will change us all if we absorb these stories with understanding and sensitivity? In their poetic, sensitive, thoughtful, critical, but also expansive and amusingly ambiguous works, they convey a fundamental message: being human has always meant leaving the familiar behind, questioning traditional stories and embracing the new and unknown.
