Echoing the reopening of the Musée Zoologique, this exhibition contrasts works from the collections of several Strasbourg museums depicting animals and nature, with contemporary photographic works by Vincent Munier, whose art and technique capture the immediacy of a moment spent in front of an animal, which, once photographed, also acquires the status of a work of art. Art and nature deserve to be observed, contemplated and protected even more today than in the past. Audiences are encouraged to pause and take the time to observe, contemplate and dream. And because human beings often turn to nature to disconnect, the museum has decided to invite nature into its halls. Knowing how to look" is the key to "knowing how to protect". Ultimately, isn't the quest of a museum visitor akin to that of a wildlife photographer? Isn't the museum, in its own way, a kind of reserve, a refuge?
