The artist, born in Paris in 1942, used to travel to Alsace, particularly the Munster valley, on holiday. The beauty of the landscapes, the charm of the villages, the traditional festivals and the pleasure of long walks accompanied by his dog Whisky are captured in sensitive watercolours that depict this region with tenderness and acuity. He and his wife decided to settle here permanently in 1999.
Through this exhibition, we discover that Georges Ratkoff's art is not limited to depicting a region: he touches people's lives, evokes memories and creates deep bonds with his public.
Temporary exhibition from 5 July to 28 September 2025
