“Labouring Bodies” explores the multifaceted relationships between the body and technology from a feminist perspective. The group exhibition shows how the human body—particularly the feminized and marginalized body—has been shaped and controlled by machines since the modern era, while at the same time being understood as a site of resistance. Artistic works shed light on labor involving machines, the technologization of production and reproduction, and women’s contributions to technological progress, inviting viewers to rethink the body, labor, and care.
