Reinhard Sigle on his 70th birthday
Exhibitions
Reinhard Sigle, "Einschläge/Auswüxe“, 2007 Holz, Holzleim und Acrylfarbe Maße variabel
Reinhard Sigle's sculptures, objects and installations are conceptually and thematically always oriented to current events. "I make signs out of wood," says the artist himself about his works, which are mostly made of scrap or waste wood left over after sawing. The occasion for the sign-setting are political, social or even ecological events such as the Gulf War, the dying forest, the climate emergency or even the warning of the right-wing danger. The works are always strikingly colored, so that one cannot escape them.
