How bees inspire us
Small bee - big topic. To survive on our planet, we need curiosity and enthusiasm for nature, for the animals and plants with which we share our habitat. With works by Joseph Beuys, Hede Bühl, Felix Droese and others, bees and their products are brought into focus as one of many possible themes. Bees do not need humans, but we need bees to preserve a flourishing environment and to ensure the world's food supply.
Chapters on works of art alternate with contributions on the cultural and natural history of bees since antiquity, the "bugonia", the "king bee", the defense strategy of bees - and the worldwide bee mortality.
In cooperation with the Hartmut Kraft Collection.
