1974 saw the birth of the Markgräfler Museum Müllheim as a "wine and local history museum". Initially limited to one room in the Blankenhorn-Palais, it developed into a multi-faceted museum for town and regional history with great commitment from the town and today's Markgräfler Museumsverein Müllheim e. V., which was also founded in 1974. In the 50 years since 1974, the museum has continued to professionalize and today, with the active support of the members of the museum association, is a vital cultural enterprise with a wide range of offers and events.
