Forum Würth Arlesheim is dedicating the first solo exhibition from the Würth Collection in Switzerland to HAP Grieshaber (1909-1981) with "Einschnitt | Ausdruck". On display are selected works (woodcuts, paintings, books, magazines, posters and photographs) from the 1960s to the 1980s, including important groups of works such as the "Totentanz von Basel" and the "Osterritt".
His socio-political works, his musically and lyrically inspired works as well as his personal "painting letters" and a series of self-portraits are explored in thematic focuses. The exhibition makes it possible to experience how Grieshaber's "incision" is both a creative gesture and an attitude - a pointed expression between protest, poetry and spiritual depth.
The exhibition is accompanied by further activities that invite visitors to explore the artist and his work in greater depth.
April 28, 2026 - May 2, 2027
open Tuesday to Sunday, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., admission free.
