Franz Gertsch. Blow up

Franz Gertsch (1930-2022) is considered a Swiss pioneer of photorealism and a master of the modern woodcut. "Franz Gertsch: Blow Up" is an overview exhibition that provides familiar insights into his work, but also opens up new perspectives on its reception. It shows Gertsch's stylistic development in impressive groups of works and also highlights the major thematic lines and cross-connections within his oeuvre as a whole - his preoccupation with the image of man and nature, which is taking on a new significance today against the backdrop of ecological and human crises.
