The exhibition invites visitors to reflect on belonging and connectedness in a world of constant movement. The focus is on seven portraits drawn in ballpoint pen on nautical charts during a two-year voyage across the Atlantic. Each portrait is linked to the story of a sailor encountered along the way and reveals personal perspectives on identity, home and life at sea. In addition to the images, the exhibition also includes short films and a documentary that allow the viewer to delve deeper into the project. With her work, Chloe Brenta wants to show a way to "return to the slow" and "The whole is revealed through the accumulation of the seemingly insignificant. When countless strokes are woven into a larger picture".
