On Sundays and feast days, this was indeed how people dressed in the Kochersberg. But on weekdays, when cooking, working in the field or in the workshop as a craftsman, how did people dress?
The Du champ à l'assiette exhibition, with scenes inspired by Henri Loux's paintings, will enable you to discover hâlettes, dresses, aprons, clogs and other clothes worn on a daily basis in the countryside. Henri Loux, an Alsatian watercolorist, drew his inspiration from these everyday costumes to decorate the Obernai dinner service, which for decades graced Alsatian Sunday tables.
