Feeling for porcelain - Cornelia Hofstetter, Lucerne
A student of Mathies Schwarze who graduated from the School of Design in Bern, she went to the Forest Row School of Ceramics in East Sussex, England, before starting her own business in 2020 with hand-turned tableware series for high-end restaurants. Her porcelain is thin-walled and surprisingly translucent and light. Recently, the wheel thrower (*1977) has been working with the soft, vulnerable nature of the material. She has developed a strong copper red to complement her delicate celadon green.
