This unprecedented retrospective invites us to delve into the heart of Inès Wagner's creative process, taking us on a journey through more than fifty years of rich and singular work. Drawn from the artist's studio collection, most of the pieces presented are unveiled to the public for the first time, offering a rare glimpse into her aesthetic universe and favorite subjects.

Trained at the Arts Décoratifs in the 1940s, Inès Wagner's protean career spanned press illustration, the visual arts and the theater. Her career took a major turn when she designed the costumes for Le Barabli, the Strasbourg stage, for some forty shows. Her delicate line and virtuoso watercolor work, all transparency and nuance, make her a sensitive observer of human beings, attentive to faces and finery alike.
