June 26 – December 7, 2026
From June 26 to December 7, 2026, the Unterlinden Museum in Colmar presents *Conversation(s)*, curated by Nino Barattini, curator of the modern and contemporary art collections.
Conceived as a transhistorical journey, the exhibition brings the museum’s medieval masterpieces into dialogue with works of modern and contemporary art. By bringing together works from vastly different contexts, media, and eras, it invites visitors to reconsider the collections through a interplay of resonances and contrasts.
A New Perspective on the Collections
From this perspective, “Conversation(s)” reflects a desire to bring together the museum’s two major collections—ancient art and modern and contemporary art—which have long been presented separately. Brought together within a single exhibition itinerary, enriched by exceptional loans, the works engage in a dialogue that transcends their usual historical frameworks and opens up new perspectives, inviting visitors to explore the collections in a fresh light.
