City - Country - Longing

The exhibition "Stadt - Land - Sehnsucht" is dedicated to the depiction of landscapes and cities as symbols of home, recreation and identity in the 20th century. It sheds light on how these motifs were both idealized and used commercially in art and everyday culture. Artistic interpretations and everyday objects enter into a dialog that makes the idyllic tangible in all its complexity. With works by Manfred Henninger, Hermann Pleuer, Gustav Schönleber and Richard Kiwit.
