On the outskirts of Berlin, photographer Sabine Hess (*1994, lives and works in Thun and Biel) found herself in the middle of a natural idyll. A forest settlement by the lake, whose complex origins meet current realities. This chance encounter became the starting point for her ongoing photographic work and research Ein Haus am See. Over the course of her scholarship, Hess returned to this place again and again - searching, observing, documenting.
