Tour of the exhibition with Yvonne Nydegger (art mediator).
About the exhibition:
This year's edition of the inter-cantonal Christmas exhibition Cantonale Berne Jura features contemporary, refreshing, uncompromising, magnificent, ingeniously simple and exhilaratingly complex works. The theme of the exhibition at the Kunstmuseum Thun is "fluidity". This refers to everything that flows, streams or is fluid. The prime example is, of course, water. In recent years, the term and the properties associated with it have also found their way into other areas of life - including metaphorically - such as gender, the digital image or human, animal or plant identity. The exhibited positions link all these areas and more.
The Cantonale Berne Jura was launched in 2011 and is characterized by intercantonal cooperation. Spread across eleven art institutions, the Cantonale forms a powerful platform for contemporary art of supra-regional importance and presents a broad spectrum of artistic positions.
The artists: Jost von Allmen, Interlaken; Claudia Breitschmid, Zurich; Livio Casanova, Kehrsatz; Martin Chramosta, Zurich/Vienna; Johanna Lena Dobrusskin, Wünnewil; Noemi Eichenberger, Biel; Garance Finger, Porrentruy; Rebekka Friedli, Bern; Lulu & Whiskey, Bern; Sara Gassmann, Bern; Flurina Hack, Bern; Mireille Henry, Bassecourt; Maya Hottarek, Biel; Flo Kaufmann, Wyssachen; Fabio Luks, Basel; Mingjun Luo, Biel; Yannik Mosimann, Berne; Corinne Odermatt, Biel; Janosch Perler, Biel; Carolina Piasecki, Thun; Pedro Rodrigues, Berne; Philipp Schaerer, Steffisburg; Marietta Schenk, Biel; Muzi-Matilde Soldati, Biel; Monika Stalder, Zurich; Hansueli Urwyler, Interlaken; Corinne Vogel, Oberdiessbach; Wolfgang Zät, Berne; Anita Zumbühl, Berne.
