Camille Bombois (1883–1970) became known for his paintings of circus, work, nature, and everyday scenes. The exhibition “The Spectacle of Life” at the Kunstmuseum Bern presents approximately 80 works for the first time in Switzerland and offers a comprehensive insight into the diversity of his oeuvre. The exhibition opens up a new perspective on Bombois and highlights his work as an independent contribution to modernism.
