Julien Creuzet and the Centre Pompidou Collection
Julien Creuzet delves into the Centre Pompidou’s collection to conceive an exhibition designed as a stroll through a garden—a meandering journey that deliberately blurs the boundaries between artistic disciplines. From the dialogue between his works and some fifty pieces from the National Museum of Modern Art—which take us on a journey through the history of art from the 20th century to the present day—immersive, multisensory environments emerge, filled with voices and objects suspended or held in tension. Inspired by the writings of Martinican authors Aimé Césaire and Édouard Glissant on creolization, her philosophy—from the aesthetics of the fragment, flow, and movement to her poetics of dislocation and contemplation—takes shape in a unique way through an experience where history, poetry, myths, and personal narratives intertwine.
