The double anniversary of the art museum and its collection also marks the 20th anniversary of the "Frischzelle" exhibition series. After initially changing exhibition spaces, a firmly defined spatial situation was established in the permanent collection, which presents young artists from the region with challenges every year. Here, their works enter into a direct dialog with the already established positions, provide impetus and open up a fresh perspective on the museum collection.
For the 20th anniversary, a selection of works that became part of the museum's collection after being presented in the "Frischzelle" are now on display for the first time. Together with a parallel publication, the show offers an overview of all 31 "Frischzelle" exhibitions. An artist talk with former "Frischzelle" artists Pia Maria Martin, Anahita Razmi and Benjamin Bronni will take place at the opening.
