This summer, the Musée Electropolis invites young and old alike to enjoy a summer season packed with experiences: events, fun workshops and guided tours to explore the mysteries of electricity in a simple, fun way!


Tuesdays: time for guided tours

1. guided bag tour

A playful version of the discovery tour (below), the museum can be explored with the help of objects such as amber, a Morse manipulator, a thieving socket, a blown bulb, a telephone dial...

2. 800 years of Mulhouse guided tour

To celebrate the 800th anniversary of the city of Mulhouse, come and discover a rich and little-known industrial heritage. The guided tour highlights Mulhouse's industrial heritage, focusing on important people from the Mulhouse region, as well as objects from our collections that originate from Mulhouse or Alsace. The magnificent and grandiose Sulzer-BBC machine will not be outdone, and more technical and anecdotal information about this jewel will be shared with visitors.

3. guided discovery tour

On a chronological tour from Antiquity to the present day, visitors discover the scientific and technical epic of electricity, from the evolution of science and technology to industrial and domestic applications. An epic that is brought to life through the museum's collections.

Thursdays: activities and workshop

4 "Electrical Hunt and Seek" activity
Working as a team in the museum, accompanied by a mediator, participants embark on an exciting treasure hunt. The mediator shows the children various photos illustrating details of the objects on display. Their mission? Find these hidden treasures! Each discovery is an opportunity for the mediator to tell the fascinating story of the object in question. Can they find them all?

5. electrical challenges workshop
The museum invites all curious youngsters and future inventors to solve a number of challenges involving electricity, such as building a battery, a series circuit, electromagnetism... This workshop can be enjoyed independently in the shade of the garden trees, with a mediator on hand to answer and help curious youngsters.

6. eco-citizen game
By taking part in the Eco-citizen game, based on the principle of a game of goose, visitors are encouraged to question their energy consumption, while learning about the different stages in the life of objects and their impact on the environment. With family or friends, who will become the energy champion?

And all summer long... an escape game and an investigation booklet

7 Escape game: Professor Proton's enigma!
Located in the heart of the Jardin des énergies, the museum invites you to experience a scientific adventure in Professor Proton's mysterious laboratory! This thrilling investigation challenges visitors to find the secret codes of five key boxes, leading to the discovery of the mystery energy. Our scientific detectives will have a maximum of one hour to explore, exchange ideas and decode codes, thus perfecting their knowledge of energies.

Booking essential on 03 89 32 48 50, minimum 2 people and maximum 8 people per slot.
Duration 1 hour. Open to all, aged 7 and over, accompanied by an adult.
Price: 36 euros for the group + usual museum entrance fee per person. Free admission with Museum Pass.

8 - "In search of the missing object" inquiry booklet
This booklet is a fun way for children aged 7 and over to discover the museum. The investigator, armed with his parchment, must find the mystery of the great Sulzer-BBC machine. In each room, an Alsatian object is presented as a clue for the investigators.

- From July 5 to September 1, every day except Monday, 10am-6pm.
Self-guided tour. Booklet for ages 7 and up. Duration: 45 minutes.
