The space race
On May 17, 2025, the museum will be taking part in the European Museum Night on the theme of "Space & Me". This theme is also part of the Mulhouse Alsace Agglomération (m2A) ARIANE 2025 program.

Thanks to an inquiry booklet entitled "The Space Race", available on a self-service basis at the museum reception desk, visitors will discover how space has been perceived through the ages, from the lightning gods who threatened to bring the sky down on our heads, to the technological developments that have enabled us to advance aerospace, right up to the conquest of space!

A fun journey through time, highlighting the role of electricity in our space race.

The culmination of this investigative game will be a participatory fresco where every visitor, young or old, can artistically express their vision of space. Visitors will be able to visit the museum free of charge from 2pm.

However, in view of the large number of visitors expected on this night, the usual static electricity animations, the multimedia show around the great machine and the outdoor game "Awakening the Sleeping Machines" will not be in operation.

Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 2 pm to midnight (last entry at 11:30 pm).
Free admission, no reservation required.
Inquiry booklet available at reception, ages 7 and up.
