The long-standing event will be held at the Mercedes‑Benz Museum in Stuttgart for the first time on 13 November 2026. After 63 successful years at the Liederhalle, the Landespresseball thus starts a new chapter and provides a visible indication of renewal and development.

The new setting combines the event’s long history of social tradition with a festive atmosphere and a contemporary presentation. The character of the event remains the same: as a glamorous gala night and meeting place for representatives from the areas of politics, media, business and society. This social highlight offers music, dancing, top-quality entertainment and exclusive cuisine.
Proceeds to support quality journalism, media literacy and democratic participation.
As in the past, festive entertainment merges with social commitment: proceeds from the benefit gala go to the Pressestiftung Baden-Württemberg (Press Foundation Baden-Württemberg). In this way, the Landespresseball underscores the importance of the freedom of the press while promoting independent information and democratic participation. The supporting organisations of the Press Foundation Baden-Württemberg are the Landespressekonferenz Baden-Württemberg (State Press Conference Baden-Württemberg), the Deutsche Journalistenverband Baden-Württemberg (German Journalists’ Association Baden-Württemberg) and the Verband Südwestdeutscher Zeitungsverleger (Association of South-West German Newspaper Publishers).
