Agriculture in transition, a farmer and winegrower answers visitors' questions
The Agricultural Museum in Altweil is located in a historical site and provides insights into the working and living environment of farmers in the transitional phase to modern times. Individual themed areas are located in places in the building where they once took place in everyday farming life. The barn, for example, houses the livestock farming and milk production areas. Grassland management and grain production, on the other hand, are presented in the hayloft. Some of the large vehicles are on display in the barn. Other important elements of agriculture are viticulture, arable farming and forestry. If you would like to know more about the world of farmers and winegrowers, you can experience this today. Altweiler farmer Trautwein Bachthaler talks about the past and present and the challenges facing agriculture in the future. Free admission, no registration required.
Please note that from this season, access to the museum will only be possible via Kirchgässlein
