Visite commentée "Vorbruck-Schirmeck, sur les traces d'un camp oublié"
This event is available in
French
For 4 hours, an interpreter-guide takes visitors on a tour of the Schirmeck security camp, where 15,000 Alsatians-Mosellans who opposed the Nazi regime were interned during the Second World War.

This guided tour features three highlights:
- an evocation of the historical context of the camp's creation, through a 1-hour tour of some of the Memorial's rooms
- a 15-minute presentation of objects and archives from the camp, exceptionally brought out of the Memorial's reserves
- a 5 km walk through the communes of Schirmeck and La Broque, lasting around 2h30, to discover the camp's historic and emblematic sites.

Bring good walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
