"Silver from Transylvania"
On Friday, February 27, at 2:30 p.m., the Transylvanian Museum will host a short public tour on the art of goldsmithing in Transylvania.
Gold and silverware were an important economic and export factor in Transylvania. Especially in the 16th and 17th centuries, goldsmith's work from Transylvania was highly coveted as gifts of honor.
The guided tour through the museum's treasure chamber, which opened in 2024, provides an interesting insight into this.
The event is part of the "Friday guided tour" series, which is dedicated to a different exciting topic at the Transylvanian Museum Gundelsheim on the last Friday of each month at 2:30 pm.
It is not necessary to register for the tour.
