Drawing Night 'Pressure of Sentiments'

Jazz and tango run through José Muñoz’s oeuvre as a common thread. Music has had a decisive influence on his free, expressive painting style and inspired his comic biographies of Billie Holiday and Carlos Gardel. On a tour of the exhibition, we linger in front of selected works by José Muñoz and let them enter into a special dialogue with music: Students from the Basel Jazz School accompany us with live tango and jazz pieces, combining image and sound.
