Concert with Miriam Terragni (flute), Aurea Marston (soprano), Jana Ozolina (violin), Gunta Ābele (cello) and Cornelia Lenzin (piano)

Balz Trümpy was a lecturer at the Basel University of Music from 1979 and Professor of Music Theory and Composition from 2008 until his retirement in 2011. He was also Deputy Director of the Conservatory from 1982 to 1987. His extensive work is performed internationally, including at renowned festivals such as the Donaueschinger Musiktage, the Lucerne Festival, the music festivals of the Schweizerischer Tonkünstlerverein and the IGNM World Music Days. In 2012 he was Composer in Residence at the Davos Festival.

The program, created in collaboration with Balz Trümpy, shows the diversity of his chamber music work. Particular highlights are two world premieres: a new work for soprano, flute, violin, cello and piano and the previously unperformed "Duetti Concertanti" from 2004/05. The evening is complemented by songs and works for flute and piano or flute solo.
