While fathers fight at the front, their children grow up in the rear. But how did children and teenagers live through the Great War?

At school and in their free time, the youngest are constantly mobilized to hero-ize the French soldier, to propagate hatred of the enemy... So many ways to encourage them, from an early age, to take part in the war effort.

Join us on Tuesday May 6 at 6:00 pm at the Verdun Memorial for a lecture by Manon Pignot, historian specializing in contemporary history, world wars, childhood and war, young combatants.
