Hansjakob-Museum im Freihof

The museum is located in the retirement home of Hansjakob who designed and constructed the house himself. The ‘Freihof' invites visitors to learn more about his works as author and observer of farmers, craftsmen, citizens and traders in the Baden Black Forest in the 19th century. The exhibition also covers his life as a historian, publisher, politician and travel writer.
