Städtische Galerie Karlsruhe
The Städtische Galerie (Municipal Gallery) invites visitors to the forum and the special exhibition area on the ground floor and to a selection of the most important pieces of art from the city's collection and the Garnatz collection on the first and second floor. The overall exhibition space covers 2,700 square meters. Highlights of the exhibition are works dating back to the foundation of the Academy of Art in Karlsruhe in 1854 as well as German art from 1945 up to the present day.

The valuable collection of Ute and Eberhard Garnatz from Cologne complements the pieces owned by the city. The Garnatz' collection focuses on German paintings, sculptures and photography since 1960. In addition, the Städtische Galerie Karlsruhe issues invitations throughout the year to several special exhibitions, guided tours, presentations, interviews with artists, concerts, events for children and young people as well as to the museum shop.
