Schloss Favorite

Favorite Palace in Rastatt-Förch is the oldest and the only German "Porzellanschloss" (China Palace) to be preserved in its original form today. Margravine Sibylla Augusta of Baden-Baden had her pleasure palace built beginning in 1710. She had a clear idea of what she wanted this baroque artistic synthesis with its richly decorative interior appointments to look like. For here she also displayed her famous china, glass and faience collections.

Today visitors can enjoy the palace and its palace garden and enter the world of the Margravine. Sumptuous rooms and precious collector's pieces - a celebration of colors and shapes - convey a lively impression of the Asian craze that prevailed in the early 18th century!
