The Museumof Iron Historyhas dedicated a permanent exhibition to the outstanding constructor Jean Prouvé (1901-1984). Some of his artworks are located in the direct vicinity of the museum. With this exhibition the museum has expanded its exhibition on the production methods of iron and steel in Europesince the 14th century. The chronologically designed tour starts on the second floor of the museum with the development of the steel industry up to the late 18th century. The first floor is dedicated to the Industrial Revolution in the 19th century. Huge models and machines in their original size are displayed on the ground floor. The latest exhibition on Jean Prouvè's life and his construction principles is also located on the ground floor: metal constructions, photos, architectonical etchings, construction maps and models exemplify Prouvé's bold, innovatve approach. Visitors may also enjoy a walk through the adjoining 14-hectare Montaigau-Park.
