Over 50 years, the entrepreneur Siegfried Weishaupt and his wife Jutta have built up a top-class collection of modern and contemporary art, which has now been open to the public in the newly built private museum since November 2007. The collection includes incunabula of abstract expressionism - among them Mark Rothko - as well as work complexes by the American pop artists Warhol and Lichtenstein. Josef Albers or Max Bill as representatives of concrete art are juxtaposed with these on the European side.
