Museum of Local Domestic Culture
The southernmost part of the Black Forest is home to one of the most beautiful villages in the region of Lörrach. The history of the district of Ötlingen in the city of Weil was dominated by viniculture and fruit-growing. In 1990, the Association of Friends of the Museum opened a beautifully organised museum of local domestic culture in a 400-year-old timbered house. The adjoining house has hosted a historical and functional smith's workshop since 2001, and stables for small animals complement the building complex. The Association of Friends of the Museum organise various special exhibitions on traditions and arts of the region.
