"Threads of Embodiment" is the first institutional solo exhibition by queer Mapuche artist Neyen Pailamilla (*1988, Santiago de Chile). Performative interventions transform the Fruchthalle into a place of remembrance that questions attributions and refers to the original function of the Fruchthalle in Raststatt as a public space. Through projections, performances and interventions in the café and museum space, "Threads of Embodiment" deliberately transcends institutional boundaries and enters into a direct dialog with the city of Rastatt in order to question queer visibility and colonial influence. The starting point is Pailamilla's Mapuche identity, which becomes a hybrid, fluid state between tradition, migration and urban life. Key works from the last ten years will be shown.
