Small meets big

50 years of Z scale - 1:220 scale
Exhibitions
Märklin introduced the Z scale to the market in 1972. With a scale of 1:220, this is the smallest mass-produced model railroad in the world. Over the course of many years, the range was constantly expanded and technically modernized. The accessories market has also grown considerably during this time. Nevertheless, the construction of a detailed layout on this scale is an absolute feat of filigree work. One such work of art is the star of our new special exhibition. Measuring 3.70 m x 0.70 m x 0.70 m, we are showing a super-detailed Z layout in the finest design. In a display case we also show extraordinary Z handcrafted models.
