The Grimmelshausen town of Renchen and the Grimmelshausen Friends have announced the Simplicissimus reloaded art prize to mark the 350th anniversary of the death of Johann Jakob Christoph von Grimmelshausen. The works nominated by a jury of experts that explicitly refer to Grimmelshausen's literary work will be presented. Based on motifs from Simplicissimus, such as the urge to wage war, deception and the baroque world view, but also humor, insight
and transformation, the artists translate this content into contemporary visual languages and reflect on current issues of truth, media reality and social orientation.
