The special exhibition in the town museum presents the results and finds from the Roman period and the Middle Ages that were discovered during excavations in the area around Bad Krozingen town hall. These include Roman wells from the 1st to 3rd centuries, which belonged to the Roman inns that once existed here or were located next to the houses of craftsmen and traders. Plenty of everyday Roman tableware and much more was discovered in and next to the wells.
The discovery of the remains of the walls of a medieval castle dating from the 12th to 16th centuries, which was previously unknown, was surprising. Fragments of the household goods of noblemen and knights who once resided here, including pots and bowls, as well as fine glassware and valuable jewelry, are on display.
