Nils Völker - Solo exhibition

Nils Völker creates site-specific works from everyday materials and objects. By multiplying garbage bags, reflective rescue blankets, technical toys and light sources, he creates wall-sized installations or objects in the middle of the room. Völker's works never stand still. He uses electronics and programming to set their surfaces in motion. As a result, the artworks begin to "deform" continuously and are often accompanied by the crackling of plastic foil or the quiet whirring of hidden fans and motors.
Several installations by Nils Völker are represented in public collections in Germany, China and the Netherlands.
