The fruit of 30 years' research in experimental archaeology, it deconstructs preconceived ideas to reveal the historical, social and sporting reality of Roman gladiatorship. The tour invites visitors to take on the role of a gladiator, train like one and discover the weapons, armor and daily life of these mythical fighters. Five scenographic areas - from the lanist's office to the arena, the ludus and the shopping street - provide a real hands-on experience. Designed for the whole family, the exhibition also features games and activities for younger visitors. Combining scientific rigor, pedagogy and experimentation, this unique exhibition pays tribute to these emblematic figures of Rome, while questioning their legacy in our contemporary imagination.
