Open to many forms of artistic expression, the Würth Collection brings together artists who are already part of art history and those who are currently making their mark with their work. With more than 20,000 works of international art, the collection facilitates monographic, thematic, and group exhibitions, as well as research projects—and casual encounters. It is aimed at circles of friends and business partners, schools, daycare centers, and clubs, as well as connoisseurs and the curious. But above all, it is aimed at anyone who takes joy in seeing and discovering.
Seeing—as individual as we are ourselves—is therefore the focus of our selection of new acquisitions, rediscoveries, and iconic works from the collection. It spans from Classical Modernism to the present day. Did people view the world differently a hundred years ago? Do men see things differently than women? Do artists see things differently than viewers? Some works speak to the creative process; others to preferences or role models. Some comment on our present; others trust entirely in their inner voice. A few let us share in the struggle to find the right form.
