The IDeE association (Strasbourg) is committed to promoting the practice of design and awakening companies to this sensitive discipline. In this context, IDeE orchestrates workshops inviting its designer-members to work alongside craftsmen and industrialists from different production sectors. In 2025, IDeE's members decided to tackle the theme of the elixir, an enigmatic substance derived from alchemical and mythological traditions evoking healing, longevity and transformation. What other material than glass, with its processes of metamorphosis, transparency and purity, could so aptly respond to this subject?
Against this backdrop, fifteen designers worked in the CIAV workshops in Meisenthal to question the place of elixirs in the rituals and everyday uses of our time, giving birth to pieces that feed the imagination and reveal new narratives...
