Chinese stone carving has a long, millennia-old history and is more than just a craft. It is access to the soul of a culture that unites beauty and virtue in the interpretation of a stone.
In our special exhibition, we show a selection of different stone categories, from natural stones, whose appearance is reminiscent of a mountain landscape, to picture stones, whose surface is reminiscent of paintings, to carved stones such as tiger's eye, jade, lapis lazuli or shoushan.
