Upper Rhine Art Prize
In 2027, the Upper Rhine Art Prize will be awarded for the sixth time by the City of Offenburg and the Förderkreis Kunst + Kultur e.V. This year’s recipient is the French artist Camille Fischer.
Camille Fischer is an artist who draws on the region’s artisanal heritage—including its textile production—and translates it into a contemporary visual language.
At the heart of her work—which encompasses drawing, embroidery, installation, and performance—Camille Fischer has placed a specific vision of a poetic world that is currently in the process of disintegration. Her works speak of fading splendor and vitality, like a magnificent celebration that is nearing its end.
