Content

Occupation, adaptation, resistance - Alsace between constraint and leeway. The exhibition shows how the region was Germanized under Nazi rule - with dramatic consequences: Forced recruitment, cultural oppression, resistance, but also collaboration and followership characterized everyday life. After 1945, Alsace was not only marked by the trauma of the war, but was also caught between the German past and the French present - a long road to recognition and coming to terms with the past.

After the presentation of the special exhibition, the webinar will also briefly introduce the Dreiländermuseum.
