It all begins with the discovery of a metal box containing 100 years' worth of letters from a family in the Meuse region of France...
This precious testimony to an ordinary daily life shaken by war served as the inspiration for this unique show, an original creation by Compagnie DesMiracles designed especially for the Verdun Memorial.
In the heartbreaking setting of the destroyed village of Fleury-devant-Douaumont, this theatrical and musical stroll crosses the destinies of civilians and soldiers. Their dances and songs retrace the exile, battles and thwarted loves of two lovers separated by war. Part testimonial, part poetic evocation, this show set in the heart of a ghost village takes us back in time, to forcefully echo the virtues of peace.

Written and directed by Franck Lemaire
Starring : Fabrice Colombero, Olivier Piéchaczyk, Lucas Vadillo and Apolline Lecogne
With musical support from the Nicolas Marty, Anna Wolozyn and Thierry Accard quartet
